Superior Area Professionals attracts, connects, and retains professionals who live and/or work in the Superior community.

MISSION STATEMENT

Superior Area Professionals believes the future economy of Superior is dependent on retaining and developing professionals to be engaged citizens.

SAP will provide a platform for individuals, including those new to the community, to be involved in community engagement. We will provide targeted professional development opportunities to foster individual and organizational growth, as well as help make meaningful connections and lasting relationships for young leaders in our community. SAP welcomes college students, new professionals, established professionals, and retirees to support the mission of the Superior Area Professionals by joining our board and being an active member in our organization and community!

Through networking and education, SAP hopes bring together a community of professionals that will work to benefit the community as a whole, and take on future economic challenges specific to this region.

Thus far, SAP has held monthly meetings to coordinate and plan the organization’s launch and ongoing activities. SAP has formed a governing board, bylaws, and has outlined plans for professional development and social events, marketing efforts, and community involvement and partnerships.

VISION STATEMENT

Superior Area Professionals aims to connect professionals living or working in our community through education, information and networking to ensure long-term health and future growth of Superior. Whether a college student or retiree, Superior Area Professionals welcome individuals from all points in their professional journey.

Our Story

Superior Area Professionals (SAP) stems from a 2011 Superior Leadership team project our goal is to launch a Professionals group for the Superior/Douglas County area in order to connect and ultimately retain professionals through networking, education and social events.

Development Association

The Superior Area Professionals is affiliated with The Development Association, a private non-profit organization focused on facilitating economic development in the Superior area. www.developmentassociation.com

In addition to general support, advice and acting as their fiscal agent, The Development Association provides Superior Area Professionals with an office at the Superior Business Center. www.superiorbusinesscenter.com
